Health food manufacturer HealthVerve will invest $2.2 million to establish manufacturing operations in Tennessee, marking its first expansion outside California.
The Livingston, Tennessee facility will boost the company’s overall production, allowing it to match and exceed growing consumer demand for shelf-stable beverages, according to a release.
HealthVerve manufactures a variety of drinks such as energy shots and juices. Food and beverage clients include Healthee, Gogee and BBGLO, according to its website.
Founded in 2006, HealthVerve Food Manufacturing USA specializes in canning processes and operates a cannery in Rancho Cucamonga, California, the release said.
Healthverve’s new facility is expected to bring more than 200 jobs to the Livingston area.
Food production is sizeable market in Tennessee, with 1,688 registered processing manufacturers and warehouses, according to the state’s Agriculture Department.
Last year, the GDP of Tennessee’s food and tobacco manufacturing industry was $13.4 million, making it the top manufacturing subsector in the state, the University of Tennessee’s Center for Industrial Services reported.
“Tennessee continues to be a top destination for companies that are looking to expand their operations,” Tennessee Rep. Ed Butler said in a statement. “This new location for HealthVerve will ... further strengthen our growing economy.”
